MATHEWS, Jerry Lee - Age 65, of Burton, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Services will be held 4PM Saturday 27 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 2PM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Amy Reed and Amanda Reed.
Jerry was born August 2, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the son of James W. Mathews and Myra Jean Cook He was resident in Burton, Michigan. Jerry was a mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars. He was a handyman and took pleasure in fixing things around the house. Jerry enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his children, Amanda Reed, Amy (Jonathan McLeod) Reed, Jennifer (Mathew) Tarwater, Jerry Runyon; grandchildren; Laila McLeod, Aliha Mcleod, Mother of Jerry's children; Barbara Franzel; Siblings; Gary (Ann) Mathews, David Mathews, Ricky Mathews, Joan Zimmerman, Barbara Graham, Brenda (Don) Becker; several nieces and nephews.
