James Bruce Fritz, age 79, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home in Lupton, MI with his family by his side. He was born on November 15, 1941 in West Branch to Albin and Eliza (Lovewell) Fritz. Bruce lived in Lupton all his life. He was a meat cutter and dairy farmer for over 60 years. He was known for his crop garden and feeding five families all winter from his garden. He touched so many lives just spending time with them doing simple things and helping people. Bruce enjoyed gardening, fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his sons, James "Andy" (Betty) Fritz, Jonathon "Jon" Fritz, and Micheal "Mike" Fritz; grandchildren, Elizabeth Fritz, Maya Ludtke, Matthew Fritz, Justin Fritz and Haylee Fritz; sisters, Mina Brotherton and Joan Reiner; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 50 years, Vera Fritz in 2015, older brothers, Steve and John Fritz and his eldest sister, Lillian Rice.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
