Anthony Gene Duffiney, 74 of Lapeer joined his family and friends in Heaven on Thursday August 19, 2021 after a long brave battle with cancer. A memorial funeral Mass will held at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer at 11:00AM Saturday August 28, 2021. Due to his own wishes, there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Cancer Society, Mass cards or the charity of your choice.
Anthony was born February 26, 1947 in Flint to parents Alfred and Margaret (McCann) Duffiney. He was a proud St. Agnes High School graduate. On September 25, 1965 he married Wilma “Billie” Harsch. He then went to Mott College to become a Journeyman, Sheet Metal Worker and proud Local #7 Union member. He also loved hunting, fishing and shooting the course at Columbiaville Sportsman’s Club. Above all, his family came first in his life. Especially his wife, sons and their families, siblings and their families.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Billie, sons: Anthony (Kim) Duffiney, Joseph (Kelly) Duffiney and Drew Duffiney, grandchildren: Ariel, Jacob, Sara, great-granddaughter: Rain, sisters: Regina (Don) Johnson, Deborah (Bruce) Simms, brother-in-law: Terry Harsch as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, God-children and dear friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Margaret, siblings: Diana and Alfred, Jr.
