Donna Jean (Abbey) Hicks - Age 88, of Grand Blanc, died February 24, 2026. A memorial service for Donna will take place at 11AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at South Flint Tabernacle G3450 S Saginaw St, Burton, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center- 6063 Fenton Rd, Grand Blanc.
Donna was born March 26, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Albert and Nellie (McGill) Abbey. She owned and operated Hicks Realty Inc. from 1969 until 2023. She was an entrepreneur and interior designer and loved her family more than anything. She was known as "nana" to her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her sons Kirk William Hicks of Sarasota, FL, and Scott Anthony Hicks of Burton; grandchildren Toni, Danny, Christian, Jonathan, Tyler, and Elizabeth; sister Sarah Abbey-Meier of Sommerfield, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James "Jim" William Hicks; son Craig Michael Hicks; and her parents.
