Melba Green, 91, of Fenton, formerly Flushing, Michigan, passed away on September 13, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1934.
On August 16, 1955, Melba married the love of her life, Frontz, and together they shared 48 years of marriage. The joy of her life was her three children, Iris, Trudy, and Ira. In quieter moments, she found steady comfort in reading, a simple pleasure that reflected her thoughtful spirit.
Melba is survived by her daughters Iris Melancon and Trudy (Dan) Tabor; three granddaughters; three great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Melba was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frontz Green; her parents Herman and Thelma Woods; her son Ira Green; and her three sisters and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church - 4494 North Linden Road, Flint, Michigan 48504.
The family would like to give speical thanks to WellBridge of Fenton and Mid Michigan Hospice for their outstanding care.
Visitation will be held at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel, 5501 Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan 48433, on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel, 5501 Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan 48433, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
Committal will follow at Flushing Cemetery , 750 Countant Street, Flushing, Michigan 48433, on Friday, September 18, 2026 following the funeral service. |
