Phyllis Joan White, age 94, of Grand Blanc Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Family will receive friends at 9:00 AM for visitation. Deacon Dennis Pennell will be officiating. Entombment to follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Phyllis was born on October 18, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, daughter of Russell T and Mary I (Robinson) Greeman. Phyllis helped various jobs throughout her life which included assembling gas gauges at AC Spark Plug, school bus driver for Grand Blanc community schools, Licensed Practical Nurse and she was very instrumental in the creation and success of R.L. White construction and development. Her passions included homemaking, biking, nature, reading and traveling to Florida but her biggest passion was her family. Phyllis married the love of her life, Robert, on June 6, 1953 and they were inseparable until he passed away in 2008.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter in law Madeline White; grandchildren Robert (Melanie), Richard (Renee) and Jolee May; nine great grandchildren; nephew Scott (Laura) Smith, niece Lisa (John) Nemazi.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, sons Craig and Rick, and sister Norma.
The family would like to thank caregivers at Alternative Elderly care, Amani Grace, and Absolute Hospice. Special thanks to Kate Wadsworth, Maggie Sims, Andrea McReynolds, Dee Lily, Heather Gregg, Sally Williams and Samantha Carlton for their loving care and support of Phyllis through the years and her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Outreach in honor of Phyllis. |
