URECHE, Steven Barry – Of Swartz Creek, age 70, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his residence.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service held at this time.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Steven was born in Flint, Michigan on August 11, 1950 the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Hahn) Ureche.
He was a phenomenal baseball player and loved all sports including golf and football.
Steven also enjoyed traveling.
Steven was a Community Education Director for 15 years. Afterwards he owned Swartz Creek Party Store and operated it for 23 years.
Above all else, he was a very dedicated father and grandfather, and that’s what he would be known for.
Surviving are daughter, Dana Ureche;
granddaughters, Laikyn Levert, Savanna Mack (Matthew DeShone);
great-grandsons, Rylen Levert and Rexton Levert;
brothers, Thomas and Marty;
nephew and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Ureche; brother, Allan Ureche.
