Edwin “Bob” Main, age 96, of Otter Lake went to be his Lord and Savior on December 17, 2022 at home with his family beside him.
Bob was born September 17, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Lucille [Bruman] Main. He graduated from North Branch High School at the age of 17 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy – where he served honorably on a minesweeper during WWII. Bob attended the West Deerfield United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Otter Lake VFW. Bob enjoyed doing yardwork around the house, playing euchre, and spending time with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Bridget (Todd) Palmatier, 5 grandchildren: Adam (Ginger), Benjamin, Sarah (Jacob), Jeff, Zach (Kristen), 4 great-grandchildren: Travis (Brianna), Jacob (Catherine), Liam, Harper and 1 great-great-grandchild Brooks. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Rodney, brothers: Jack, Harold, and Everett.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Bob’s Life will take place 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Columbiaville Community Center. Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Otisville American Legion Post or North Branch American Legion Post.
