WRIGHT, Ben – of Mt. Morris, age 59, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, October 2, 2020 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Nick Heit of The Bridge in Flint, officiating. Internment immediately following in Dodge Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 PM Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Davison Missionary Church. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family.
Ben was born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 4, 1961, son of the late Otis M. and Pauline Barbara (Drinkwine) Wright. In the 70’s, after his youngest sister was born, his family moved to Flint, MI. He worked as a welder for 17 years, working for Sure Shot as a supervisor and was plant manager at AFCO. Ben worked as an electrician for the last 15 years and continued to work odd jobs in those fields long after he became ill. If Ben had one hobby it was working and his second was playing guitar. He touched every heart of every person he ever met and was one of the most caring people in the world.
Ben is survived by daughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Morrison; 4 grandchildren, Kayleigh Peck, Kyle Peck, Kristopher Morrison, Joseph Morrison; brothers, Russell Wright, Gary Wright; sister, Elsie Elliott; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Wright; sister, Sherry and niece, Barbara.
