Treva Leone (Swenor) Symons Gotts of Davison, age 85, died Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Stonegate Health Campus, Lapeer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday September 4, 2021 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Family will receive visitors from 10:30 am Saturday until time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Treva’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Treva was born in Goodrich General Hospital in Goodrich, Michigan on September 21, 1935 the daughter of the late Millard & Vera (Weekly) Swenor and has resided in the Davison most of life. She also lived in Tampa Florida for several years. She was joined in marriage to John Symons and later married Robert Marshall Gotts in 1971; he preceded her in death in 2008. Treva was a graduate of Davison High School, Class of 1955. She was a member of Rebekah’s Ardell Order #214, and was raised in the First Baptist Church, Davison. Treva spent numerous years in outreach ministries in many community churches, and was a very active member of the Spark Plug City CB Club. She loved to play Bingo, but her true enjoyment was her family especially her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are children: John (Rebecca) Symons, JoAnn Harrington, and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Symons. She also leaves her loving nineteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren, brother Jerry (Margaret) Swenor and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by daughter Julia Symons, son-in-law JJ Ross and step-daughter Mary Wilson. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
