GUNNELS, Gloria J. – of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly Linden, age 59, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Golfside Regional Hospice in Zephyrhills, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Robert Murdock officiating. Private burial will be held in Cottage Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 12PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
Gloria was born September 28, 1954 in Flint to the late Arthur and Wanda (Smith) Major. She worked as a medical assistant for Flushing Emergency Clinic for many years, and was a former bartender at the Down the Hatch Pub in Linden. Gloria was a member of the Zephyrhills Eagle Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, karaoke, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are: children, Amy (Chris) Woodall of Montrose, Alisha (Chris) Clark of Montrose, Julie Herrick of Montrose; and their father, Roger Ledford; grandchildren, Whitney (Brian) Molaski, Taylor & Jordan Woodall, Kendra, Chloe, Christopher and Quinn Clark, Toni Ledford, Haylie Herrick; siblings, Denise (Gary) Lundberg of Grand Blanc, Michael (Deborah) Major of Wellston, Aaron (Kelly) Major of Birch Run, Connie Thomas of Mt. Morris; special friends, Teresa Fischer and Bill Howell of FL; many other family and friends. She was also preceded in death by: grandson, Nicholas Herrick.
