LOAN, Lena Louise - Age 77, of Flint formerly of Hale, died Saturday, January 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Lena's obituary page at www. sharpfuneralhomes.com). Chaplain Adam Doyle officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 3 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice.
Lena was born June 22, 1944 in Charlottesville, VA, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret (Cale) Spradlin. She was a 1962 graduate of Craigsville High School. She married George Washington Loan June 23, 1962 in Millboro, VA and he preceded her in death May 23, 2010. She and her husband George were the hosts at Rollways Camp Ground in Hale. Lena enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: her daughters, Naomi Beahlen (Bob) of Morrice, Teresa Loan of Grand Blanc, and Lisa Carr (Bob Bowden) of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Breanna Greenlees (Tim), Samantha Beahlen (Seth Adams), Cole Beahlen (Veronica), Jacob Kwasneski (Marissa), Shane Kwasneski, Lindsey Carr, T.J. Carr (Sommer Allen), and Mitchell Carr; great grandchildren, Raelyn, Skylar, Ace, Camille, Eloise, and another great grandson who is due in April; brothers, Robert, John, Grover, and Charlie; sister, Margie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Russell; and sister, Marie. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
