Micky Dean Pfeiffer, 62, of Traverse City passed away suddenly on Thursday October 26, 2023 with wife and daughters nearby. Mick was born September 21, 1961 to Joanne and Garnet Pfeiffer in Flint, Michigan. In his lifetime he was a dedicated friend, husband, father, grandfather, coach, teacher, musician, master electrician, hunter, and fisherman. He loved spending time on the Gulf sitting next to the love of his life, Carol.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 37 years, his daughters; Sara Aja and Rebecca Pfeiffer, son-in-law, Nick Aja, grandchildren; Evelyn, Henry, and Chloe Aja, mother, Joanne, siblings; Candy and Larry Stevens, Roger and Colleen Pfeiffer and many other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Garnet.
His big personality commanded every room he walked into and his equally big heart was evident in the way he spoke of his family. He was passionately dedicated to ecological sustainability and in lieu of flowers his family is asking for donations to be made to a local organization. Saving Birds Thru Habitat, 5020 N. Friends are welcome to visit with Micky’s family from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
A funeral service honoring Micky will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Dan Wallington will officiate.
A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at Faith Reformed Church, 1139 E. Front St. Traverse City, Michigan 49686 (in the Intersection Building).
