Dorothy Deanne (Horner) Back died Monday, November 23, 2020 after a lingering illness.
Dorothy was born in Holcomb, MO to A.J. and Lillian Horner on March 9, 1932. After a happy childhood she married James M. Back, also of Holcomb, MO. They lived briefly in the Holcomb area then migrated North to Flint, MI. Both of them taking jobs with General Motors where she worked until 1983. Dorothy and James raised 3 children, Jim, Michael, and Cindy. She happily retired to Summers at the campground with Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Dorothy and James were happily married for 70 years!
Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband, James Back of Grand Blanc; her son Jim Back of Grand Blanc; her son Michael (Linda) Back of Montrose; daughter Cindy Commet of Flushing; brothers Jack (Carolyn) Horner of Martinez, GA and Philip (Linda) Horner of Winter Garden, FL; Grandchildren Brandi (Keith) Shriner, Michael (Tara) Back, Jessica (Brian) Back-Ingersol, and Bill (Angie) Back; and Great Grandchildren Caitlin Peet; Michael Koon; Brady Back; Macie Back; Everett Jenkins; Mavrick Lambert and Cruz Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin J(Jack) Horner and Lillian Horner.
There will be no memorial. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice.
