DUNGEE, McCauley - Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, December 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 5-9 PM and Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
Mr. Dungee was born November 4, 1937 in King Williams County, VA, the son of Jessie and Emma (Ackrey) Dungee. He was a 1957 graduate of Lapeer High School and a graduate of Flint Junior College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Carmen Ancira December 21, 1963 in Flint. Mr. Dungee had resided in Swartz Creek since 1992 coming from Flint. He was a member of the Upper Mattaponi Indian Tribe. He retired from Sears and Roebuck in 1999 after 28 years of service as a repair technician. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, bluegrass and gospel music.
Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Carmen; son, Scott and wife Debbie Dungee; granddaughter, Amanda Renee Dungee; sister, Barbara Cameron; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings, Bernice Adams, Ruth Smith, Elsie Spangler, Elma Davis, and Jessie Dungee.
