CONLY, Anita - age 73, of Fenton, died June 5, 2022. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to ALS Association Michigan Chapter (www.alsa-michigan.org) or the Fenton United Methodist Church. Anita was born August 23, 1948 in Lansing, the daughter of Dale Remus and Grace Vera (Colby) Putnam. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University earning a master's degree in Special Education. Anita married Lisle Conly on June 27, 1970. She was a teacher with Corunna Schools for 5 years and Flushing Schools for 30 years. Anita was an active member of Fenton United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also loved being a grandma. Surviving are: husband, Lisle Conly; son, Matthew Conly of Linden; daughter, Amanda (Garth) Leggett of Novi; five grandchildren, Jacob and Allison Conly and Alexandra, Colin, and Ian Leggett; two sisters, Jane Goetschy and Jill (John) McDougall; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Grace Putnam; and brother, David Putnam. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430.
