MARIOTT, Jewell A. “Julie” – of Clio, age 82, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Angel Manor with family by her side. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held in Flint Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio.
Julie was born November 2, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Herbert and Clara (Schemp) Ryder. She graduated from Chesaning High School in 1959, and later attended Mott College. Julie married John A. Mariott on July 13, 1996, in a small white church at Crossroads Village. They enjoyed many happy years together until John preceded her in death on November 15, 2017. She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. Julie enjoyed spending time outdoors - tending to her flower gardens, camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed reading a good book, watching football, and bowling. Above all, Julie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Joseph Fulton, Debi (David) Heggan, Sherry (Dan) Cole, Lana McPhilimy, and Joyce (Tim) Limback; Stepson: John (Kim) Pannell; Grandchildren: James, Michelle, Jillian, Rodney, Courtney, Kristen, Kelly, Brett, Ryan, Brianna, Alyssa, Staci, Jared, and Garrett; Many great grandchildren and siblings.
