Joanne Belle Fuller-Douglas, age 81 of Owosso, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11am at Immanuel Baptist Church; Pastor Jason Georges will officiate with burial to follow in Hawkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
Joanne was born to Fred and Eula (Ryan) Ward on October 7, 1934 in Venice Township. She graduated from Owosso High School in the class of 1952; she attended Baker College in Flint and worked for Utley Schools from 1953 to 1955. She met her husband Thomas Fuller in January of 1956 and married him on June 10, 1956; together they raised 6 children and spent 57 years together until his passing in July of 2013. She then married Scotty Douglas on December 14, 2014.
Joanne is survived by her husband Scotty Douglas, her children; Robin (Bob) Parra, George (Dana) Fuller, Jeff (Christina) Fuller and Yvonne (Eric) Snider. Daughters in-law; Mary Fuller and Elnora Fuller, also 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Thomas in July of 2013, her sons; Jim Fuller in June of 2013 and John Fuller in July of 2004 and granddaughter Angie Fuller in 2012.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee County Humane Society or Grace Bible Church.
