Carter, Jo Ann - Age 71, of Grand Blanc, passed away June 19, 2022 peacefully with her husband Larry by her side. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday June 24 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday June 23, and 10-11 AM Friday June 24 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jo Ann was born July 17, 1950 in Flint the daughter of Bert and Annie (Rates) Christenson. She was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and Western Michigan University. She married Larry Carter on August 19, 1972 in Flint. She had resided in Grand Blanc since 1972. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc. She loved spending time with her friends from the Grand Blanc Women's Club and the Red Hat Society. Surviving are: husband of nearly 50 years, Larry Carter; son David (Shanon) Carter of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Bud (Judy) Christenson of Fenton, Donna Christenson of Washington, DC, Ted Christenson of Lake Fenton; several nieces and nephews.
