PATTERSON, Guy D. Sr. – of Mt. Morris, age 66, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, June 28, 2021, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Morris. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 12PM until 8PM, and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota.
Guy was born September 8, 1954, in Flint, Michigan to the late Denver and Lenora (Holbrook) Patterson. He graduated from Clio High School in 1973. Guy married Margaret Voelker on June 15, 2001. He retired from General Motors in August of 2020 with 46 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local # 598. Guy was also a member of the NRA. He loved spending time outdoors - hunting, fishing, and camping. Guy enjoyed traveling and collected magnets and hats from all his adventures. He also enjoyed dancing, playing Aggravation, and his animals – Bitsy, Paw Paws and Nala. Above all, Guy loved spending time with his family, they were everything to him.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Margaret Patterson; Son, Guy (Chari) Patterson, Jr.; Granddaughters: Andrea Kaye Patterson, and Valerie Irene Patterson; Sisters: Sue (Ralph) Oliver, and Sherry (Jim) Iverson; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members, and dear friends.
