POPOVITS, Louis Frederick "Fred" Jr. - Age 68, of Linden, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 11,at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Visitation will be held 1PM until the time of service Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
Fred was born May 24, 1946 in Flint, the son of Louis and Luella (Rundle) Popovits. He retired from General Motors in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV's and watching the Detroit Tigers. He loved his family and spending time Up North.
Fred is survived by his wife, Nan; children, Anthony (Cherilyn) Popovits, Pamala (Dave) Schott; step-children, Michael Swedorski, Darren (Kellie) Swedorski; grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, Audrey, Caleb, Seth, Ryan; great-grandson, Jameson; brother, Daniel Popovits; sister, Jeannie (Roy) Blanchard; step-sister, Marsha (Ron) Sekelsky; step-brother, Rusty Morse; step-father, Carl (Delores) Holevar.
