GERIAK, Viola Marie (March) – of Swartz Creek, MI, age 89, was promoted to Glory on Thursday, February 23, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, March 3, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Justin Buckley officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Friday, March 3, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army Flint Citadel, 211 West Kearsley Street, Flint, MI 48502 or the Eastside Senior Citizens Association, in Viola’s memory.
Viola was born in Flint, MI on November 26, 1933, daughter of the late Steven E. and Edna (Dickinson) March. She was a graduate of Beecher High School. Viola was united in marriage to Andrew Geriak in 1962 and preceded her in death in 2008. She retired as a Claims Specialist from the former Braun & Braun Insurance Agency in Flint, MI. In 1990, following their retirement, Andy and Viola moved to Palm Bay, FL. She returned to Flint, MI in 2013 to be closer to her family. Viola loved and served God all her life. She was a member of The Salvation Army Flint Citadel, the Eastside Senior Citizens Association and UAW Local #651.
Viola is survived by 3 siblings, Hazel (Charles) Merrill of National City, MI, Jacquline (John) Corlew of Mt. Morris, MI and Duane March of Flint, MI; many loving nieces, nephews, church family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Edna March; husband, Andrew Geriak; 5 siblings, Laura Gunderman in 2019, Lester March in 2018, Chester March in 2017, Naomi March in 2005 and Harold March in 1971.
