Roger Lee Brown, age 78, of Clio, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Chaplin Dan Bower will preside with military honors taking place. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 3 and again from 1:00 PM until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date.

Roger was born on September 5, 1946 in Lyburn, West Virginia the son of the late James and Lucille (Blankenship) Brown. He graduated from Beecher High School, class of 1965. Roger enlisted into the United States Army proudly serving during the Vietnam War from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He worked for GM Truck and Bus for many years until his retirement in 1996. Roger and Suzanne Clymer were united in marriage on July 6, 1968 in Flint. He was a member of the VFW post 1452 and was a Secret Santa for over 20 years. In his free time, Roger enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Suzanne; sons, Roger Jr. (Tina) Brown and Jeffery (Lorrie) Brown; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 4 siblings, James Brown, Raymond Brown, Verna Guthrie and Robert (Sheri) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Brian Brown; grandson, Matthew Goodrich; granddaughter, Kaleigh Doster; and brother, David Ellery. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
