MARTINEZ, Alfredo Silva – Of Flint, age 81, died Monday, January 23, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 and A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Private service will be held at the funeral home, Deacon Omar Odette officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
Alfredo was born in Galeana Nuevo Leon, Mexico on April 22, 1941, the son of the late Juanita (Silva) Sermeño and Jesus Martinez.
On May 13, 1973 he married Petra Torres in Mission, Texas.
He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was a Fan of Michigan sports teams, enjoyed playing softball and watching soccer.
Surviving are wife, Petra
children, Maria Delcid,
Anette (Matthew) Grubb,
Alfredo Martinez Jr.,
Jesus (Elaina) Martinez and Diana (Brett) Baker;
grandchildren, Victoria, Alicia, Adrianna, Antonio, Maribel and Santos Martinez, Dominick and Adrian Grubb, Margarita, Jesus Jr., Sofia and Jose Alfredo Martinez, Emilio and Juliana Baker;
great-grandchildren, Naveah, Natalie, Alannah and Malia;
siblings, Ramiro Martinez, Arturo Sermeño and Maria Vargas, Candelario Amelia, Francisco and Emma Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Sermeño; father, Jesus Martinez; brothers, Raul Martinez and Santos Sermeño; sister, Locha Martinez.
