SWARTZ, John Thomas -- Age 50, of Flushing, died October 30, 2015. Services will be held 4PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Fr. Paul Ballien officiating. Visitation will be held 2PM until time of service on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Michigan Association for Suicide Prevention..
John was born January 10, 1965 in Detroit the son of William John and Mary Katherine (Ragan) Swartz. He was raised in Highland Township, and was a graduate of Milford High School. John married Julie Ann Rescoe in Clarkston on June 28, 1992. He was a member of the Michigan Carpenters Union. He loved hunting , and fishing, and vegetable gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; father, William John Swartz of Howell; sister, Laura (Timothy) Forsgren of Cincinnati OH; brother, William (Ruth) Swartz of Caledonia; half-brothers, David Swartz, Philip (Jacqueline) Swartz of Howell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Elinor Rescoe of Flushing; brothers-in-law, Greg Rescoe, Mark (Annie) Rescoe; sister-in-law, Laura (Tim) Morris; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ragan Swartz in 2014.
