Marjorie was born in Montrose, Michigan on February 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Roy and Bernice (Baker) Gagnon. She was baptized into the Christian faith and later confirmed faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in whose arms she now rests.

Marjorie married Victor Fite on August 24, 1945. Just shy of their 75th wedding anniversary, they were able to share decades together in a beautiful and rich marriage full of love and joy, which they passed on to their three children, Karen (Gerald) Schlieger of Flushing, Bethany (Mark) Racine of Kona, Hawaii, Craig Fite of Grand Blanc;

Much loved nephew, Thomas (Debra) Coons of Flushing.

She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bernice Gagnon; sisters, Jean Coons and Maxine Benson; son-in-law, Gerald Schlieger.
“Margie” was a loving wife and mother who was wonderfully devoted to her family. She always strived to make holidays and birthdays special for everyone. Her love for Jesus inspired her to encourage everyone to do their best as she was a friend to many, who was always willing to lend an ear.

Her flower gardens were the talk of the neighborhood back in the day. She enjoyed cooking and sewing for the whole family; but mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them grow, and loved to babysit whenever she could.

She will be remembered for her love of dancing with her husband, Vic at any opportunity that arose. An amazingly strong lady for all the unexpected things in life that came her way. All the memories that were made of her family will live on forever in their hearts.

A heartfelt thanks to her caregivers and Hospice for their support.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
