SLAGOR, Cheryl Lee (MacDonald) – of Davison, MI, age 72, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Elder Edward MacDonald officiating. Interment immediately following in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2022 and 10-11 AM Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oakwood Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ Church, in Cheryl’s memory.
Cheryl was born in Port Huron, MI on March 29, 1950, daughter of Shirley Lenore (Pratt) and the late John Norris MacDonald. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1968. Cheryl MacDonald married Chester “Chet” Peter Slagor, Jr. on April 19, 1968. She was a talented artist, sharing her gift with others through her painting, crochet work and numerous arts and craft projects. Cheryl was also an exceptional cook and diligent homemaker. She was a devoted and active member of Oakwood Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ Church. Cheryl’s kindness, compassion and willingness to help others will be greatly missed.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Chester “Chet” Slagor, Jr.; 2 sons, Chester “Chet” Slagor and Eric (Kimberely) Slagor; 2 grandchildren, Brennen Colley and Gage Slagor; mother, Shirley Lenore MacDonald; 3 siblings, Edward (Candy) MacDonald, Darlene Bessolo and Wendy (Jesse) Rowe; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Norris MacDonald; sister, Cinda Lou MacDonald and brother-in-law, Robert Bessolo.
