YOUNG, Alan B. - Of Flint, age 74, passed away with his wife and daughters by his side Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Alan’s wishes have been honored and cremation has taken place. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at a later date in the spring.
Alan was born in Flint on November 23, 1946, the son of the late Gladwin and Hilda (Brown) Young. He worked 30 years for General Motors Truck and Bus. Alan proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors and took great pride in his yard.
Surviving are wife, Shirley;
Daughters, Lori (Tom) Doran and Carrie Young;
Step-children, Troy (Shawn) Andrews and Tonya Andrews;
Grandchildren, John, Amelia, Marie, Kade, Keatyn, Kendyl and Kole.
He was also preceded in death by his 4 legged companion, “Brookie”.
Alan will be sadly missed by all but in our hearts forever.
