PURDUE, Jason Andrew – of Davison, MI, age 47, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Minister Rex Odglen officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 10 AM-2 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in Jason’s memory.
Jason was born in Flint, MI on September 15, 1976, son of Larry and Cheryl (DeHaan) Purdue. He was a proud graduate of Davison High School, Class of 1994. Jason pursued his passion for writing, earning a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Eastern Michigan University. Later, he furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint. One of Jason's greatest joys in life was spending quality time with his family. He cherished every moment with his children and family members, finding happiness in their presence. His love for superhero movies was a shared bond, and he delighted in watching them with his children and loved ones. Jason's family was the center of his world, and his unconditional love and support were unwavering. He also had a special place in his heart for his friends and pets, further exemplifying his caring and compassionate nature. His warmth and kindness extended not only to people but also to the furry companions who found a home in his heart. Jason's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his intellect, creativity, dedication, and above all, his love for his family.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amber Purdue; 2 children, Christian Luchenbill and Graham Purdue; parents, Cheryl (DeHaan) Purdue (Stan Eden) and Larry (Nancy “Chip”) Purdue; sibling, Zachary Purdue; grandmother, Evelyn (Metzger) Purdue; sister-in-law, Emily (Robert) Horn; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William “Bill” and Grace (Dunn) DeHaan, Leonard Warne Purdue, Fred and Maxine (Fuller) Bernat.
