NICHOLAS, Henry “Hank” – of Millington, MI, age 88, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Matt Osborne and Dr. Maurice H. Chapin co-officiating. Cremation will take place following the service with inurnment in Sunset Hills Cemetery on a later date. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Davison VFW Post #4087, in Henry’s memory.
Henry was born in Flint, MI on July 31, 1932, son of the late William and Mary (Stevens) Nicholas. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. Henry married Shirley Jean Laubengayer in August 1956 and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2013. He founded Action Municipal Supply in 1988 and retired in 2000. Henry loved working out in his yard and tending to his property. He especially enjoyed mowing the lawn.
Henry is survived by 3 sons, Michael Nicholas, Donald (Cindy) Nicholas and Tom Nicholas; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Nicholas; wife, Shirley Jean Nicholas and his brother, Bill Nicholas.
