ROUSE, Sandra Paulette (Ziaya) – of Davison, MI, age 73, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Central Baptist Church, 2211 North Center Road, Flint, MI 48506; Pastor John Hill officiating. Inurnment in Tanner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Animal Control, 4351 Pasadena Avenue, Flint, MI 48504, in Sandra’s memory.
Sandra was born in Standish, MI on September 16, 1949, daughter of the late Sam Charles Krause and Margaret (Bordeau) Reno. She was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1967. Sandra married William Rouse and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was employed as a bank teller, barber, successful business owner and special deputy of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department. Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to so many. She was also a talented cook and loved to feed people. “Little Miss, Eat All You Want, I’ll Make More.” Sandra was an unwavering, fearless and independent single mother, with a strong love for all animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Sandra is survived by her 2 sons, Steven Visnaw and Billy (Jhoana) Rouse; several loving “adopted” grandchildren; 5 siblings, Stan (Judy) Ziaya, Brad (Jill) Reno, Julia Russell, Sharon Atchison and Barb (Tom) Russell; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Charles Krause and Margaret Reno; husband, William Rouse; 2 canine companions, Phoenix and Sassy.
