IRISH, Mary M. “Peggy” – of Clio, age 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. A remembrance of life will be held at a later date.
Peggy was born September 29, 1938, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles and Mildred (Leaper) Sowerbrower. She graduated from Flint Technical High School. Peggy married the love of her life, Clayton Irish on May 17, 1988. Peggy loved taking care of her family and being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo. Above all, Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow up.
Surviving are: Beloved husband, Clayton Irish; Son any mother would be proud of, Jimmy Sowerbrower; Loving grandchildren, Amber (Danny) Birch, Jodi (James) Hunter, and Braeden Sowerbrower; Great grandchildren: Haven and Logan Hunter; Sister, Judy (Dan) Ritchey; Brothers: Ron (Patti) Sowerbrower, and Don Sowerbrower; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law, and other loving family members.
