CHASE, David- of Mt. Morris, formerly of New York, age 80, died Sunday, May 22, 2022, at McLaren Flint. Funeral service will be held 1PM Thursday, May 26, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. John Hart officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 11AM until 8PM and Thursday from 11AM until the time of service. Honoring David’s wishes, cremation will follow.
David was born May 5, 1942, in Pittsfield, New York to the late Claude and Jessie (Weidman) Chase. He served in the United States Air Force as a personnel specialist during the Vietnam War. On August 6, 1966, David married the love of his life, Amber DeRosia, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. He worked on the assembly line at General Motors for 38 years where he also retired. David was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He found joy in bowling, golfing, and loved spending time with his family. Above all, David was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him,
David is forever loved by his wife of 55 years, Amber Chase; Son, David (Lora) Chase; Grandsons: David Lee (Shylah) Chase II and Cody Quinn (Jenna) Chase; Great-grandchildren: Myah, Logan, Harley, Wyatt, Onnalee, Maximus, David Lee Chase III, and Paislynn; Siblings: Russell Chase, Reita McClain, Marvin (Linda) Chase, Dianne Pearl, Kathryn Davis, and William (Grace) Chase; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Jessie and siblings: Helen Chase, Elsie Lund, Ernest Chase, Chester Chase, and Laurence Chase. |
