ELFORD, Barbara Ann – Of Davison, age 73, died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at her home.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Nephew and Pastor, Marc Grimes officiating.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on September 27, 1951, the daughter of Harry Jr. and Laura (Swift) Mince. Barbara retired after 30 years as a school teacher from Genesee High School. She was a world traveler and enjoyed playing golf, reading, going to the movies, attending concerts and going to lunch with her friends.
Surviving are children Rebecca and husband Joseph Sveska of Commerce Township and Kari and husband Richard Swain of Chesapeake, Virginia;
Grandchildren, Landon, Mya and Gabrielle;
Nephews, Jay Grimes and Marc Grimes, niece, Brooke Lince and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Donna Grimes.
