BONNELL, Mary Ann (Fish) – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 92, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at The Oaks at Woodfield. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your Veterans charity of choice, in Mary Ann’s memory.
Mary Ann was born in Burton, MI on May 17, 1930, daughter of the late George and Nina (Davidson) Fish. She married John James Bonnell, Sr. on February 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2018. They loved to travel and wintered in Arizona where they met many new friends. Mary Ann was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and “The Queen Shark” of Euchre at The Oaks at Woodfield. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, arts and crafts, but most of all she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mary Ann is survived by 4 children, John J. Bonnell, Jr. (Marilyn) of Phoenix, AZ, Dennis Bonnell of Lapeer, MI, Cynthia McLachlan of Phoenix, AZ and Gregory (Cynthia) Bonnell of Davison, MI; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John James Bonnell, Sr and her 3 brothers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Oaks at Woodfield and Mid-Michigan Hospice.
