Janice Alice Frasier

Died: 8/15/2026
Age: 73
Community: Cheboygan, MI

Janice Alice Frasier, 73, of Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Linden, Michigan.

Janice was born to Donald and Helen (Liebengood) Fraser on August 2nd, 1953. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1971 and later retired from Hurley Medical Center, where she dedicated many years of her life.

Above all, Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 30 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Larry Frasier, who survives her. She is also survived by her children, Nathan Uhde and Raechel (John) Whitman; her four cherished granddaughters, Gillian, Genevieve, Madison, and Chloe; her sister, Donna (Paul) Floyd; and her special friends, Maria Scott of Holly, Michigan, and Carcola Tippitt of Atlanta, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Helen Fraser, and special friend of many years, Debbie Grieve.

Those who knew Janice will remember her beautiful smile, her gentle heart, and especially her warm hugs- the kind that made you feel so loved. Her family and friends will carry those memories with them always.

Janice was a woman who found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She had a special love for animals, nature, fishing, gardening, boat rides, and a good campfire. She found happiness in being outdoors, tending to her garden, and spending time with the people she loved.

Janice and Larry also shared a love of adventure and travel. Together, they traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Scotland, and New Zealand, creating memories and experiencing places they had dreamed of seeing. They also enjoyed countless adventures in their travel trailer, traveling to Maine, the great Smokey Mountains, and exploring the beauty of the western United States; including Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, Badlands, and Yellowstone. These journeys were more than just trips—they were experiences they shared together, adding to the beautiful life they built side by side.

One of Janice's greatest joys was the beautiful log home she and Larry built. It was more than a house- it was a dream they had worked toward and treasured, a place where she and Larry created a life together and made countless memories. Her love of nature and the peaceful beauty around her made their home truly special.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Janice gift a wind chime for Larry to hang on the porch of the beautiful home they once shared together. Each gentle chime will be a reminder of Janice, the love they shared, and the memories that will forever remain there. Perennial plants are also welcome in Janice’s memory. Like the love she and Larry shared, they will return year after year, giving Larry something beautiful to nurture and care for- a living reminder of Janice and the way he lovingly cared for her throughout their life together.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20th starting at noon at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, services will held immediately after at 6pm.

Janice will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
