HITCHCOCK, BILL A. – Of Grand Blanc, age 73, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.

Private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dan Hayes officiating.

Burial at Glenwood Cemetery.

Those desiring may make contributions to Boy Scout Troop of Linden #111 or Davison VFW Post #8031.

Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.

Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

Bill was born in Flint, Michigan on October 4, 1947, the son of Maynard and Rosemma (Ellis) Hitchcock.

In September, 1969 he married Mary Lawrence in Howell, Michigan.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He fought the Battle of Khe Sahn and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was an Eagle Scout.

Mr. Hitchcock was also a teacher at Lake Fenton, Flint Southwestern and a truck driver.

Surviving are wife, Mary;

children, Fred Hitchcock of Linden and
Melissa Hitchcock of Milford;

grandchildren, Hayden, Carson and Jacob;

sister, Kerry Lee Hitchcock of Fenton;
several nieces and nephews.
