Memorial Service for Donald Iverson, 95-year-old resident of Clio, will be held a Community of Christ Church. Date and time to be announced. Immediate family gathering for burial afterwards at Clio Cemetery.
Donald Wayne Iverson passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of June 29, 2022. Don was born on November 8, 1926, to Selmer Iverson and Bertha Weiland of Iowa. He met Wilma Evelyn Smith at Service Rubber Company in Iowa. They were married in Iowa on September 6, 1944. He then completed 1 year serving in the U.S. Navy. They settled in Clio, Michigan. Don loved hunting, fishing and family. He treasured the long walks with Wilma always holding hands. To him, heaven was working in the yard or simply sitting in the swing as the evening or morning passed.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, his wife Wilma, and son, Donald William. He is survived by two sons, Larry Richard Iverson and wife Susan of New Jersey, James Arthur Iverson and his wife Sherry of Kentucky, his daughter Susan Elaine Iverson Patten and her husband David of Oklahoma and Sylvia Lynn Iverson Miller and her husband Hugh of Michigan and daughter-in-law, Trudy Iverson of Michigan. He is loved and celebrated by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. |
