SUMMERS, ANNA – Of Rankin, Michigan, age 80, died Sunday, May 21, 2023 peacefully at her son’s residence in Florida, surrounded by family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor John Scally officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at the funeral home.
Anna was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 17, 1943, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Pollock) Hrosch.
She married Herman Summers on July 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2015.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, playing cards, baking and doing crafts. You could always find her watching MSU sports and cheering on her Sparty’s. She enjoyed spending the winter in Florida.
Survived by her four children, H. Tim (Kitty), Randy (Sue), Michael (Melissa) and Melissa (Brian) Gombos;
nine grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild;
dear brother-in-law, Richard Smith;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hrosch.
