RAYMOND, Rene “Bimbo” – of Burton, formerly Montrose, age 73, died on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude.
Rene was born on March 31, 1948, to the late Victor and Pauline (Forest) Raymond. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School. Rene worked and retired from AC Sparkplug in March of 1999, after many years of faithful service. Later in life he met and married the love of his life, Janet Stillson. He enjoyed watching the Tigers and going fishing with his brother, Leo. His greatest joy was being around people, chatting up a storm and making friends everywhere he went.
Surviving are: Daughter, Jodi (Sean) Matte; Grandchildren: Julia (Joshua) Fundaugh, Dylan Matte; Great-Grandchild, Zaine and one on the way; Siblings: Harry (Linda) Raymond, and Leo (Janet) Raymond; several nieces and nephews; and Step-children. He was preceded in death by: Loving wife, Janet (Stillson); Parents, Victor Pauline; Son Christopher Raymond in 1983.
