HARRIS, OLIVE K. “KATHY” - Of Swartz Creek, age 93, died Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her residence.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial is being planned for the fall.
Kathy was born on November 27, 1929 in Flint, Michigan to Phillip and Alma (Coleman) Bodrie.
Kathy was the food service director at Lake Fenton Schools for many years, where she innovated the menu and founded the catering program.
She was a proud Blue Devil.
She leaves behind her children, Jan Harris, Sonia (Jay) Kelso, Terry (Art) Hitchings, Shelly Harris, Donna (Jeff) Schroeder, Ray (Teresa) Harris and Cheryl (Rick) Brady;
grandchildren, Christina, Stacy, Robert, Jeff, Jeremy, Jay, Kathy, Jacob, Dan and Amanda;
12 great-grandchildren;
brother, Jim Bodrie;
brother-in-law, Frank (Nancy) Harris;
nephews, Greg and Frank, Jr.;
nieces, Sue and Jennifer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald and her brother, Leonard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathy’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
