Daniel was born in Flint, Michigan on July 4, 1949, the son of George and Margaret (Hughes) Fralick. Daniel graduated from Flint Northwestern. He proudly served in the U.S Navy where he was stationed in San Diego. It was there where he met and married the love of his life, Julia “Judi” Green on September 9, 1970. Together, they owned and operated his family business, Fralick & Sons Heating and Cooling. Dan was active with the Flushing Chamber of Commerce. He was known to have judged many pie contests during the fall festival.

As a young man, Dan spent many years hunting and fishing with his good buddies. They created a lot of great memories together. He was a member of the Flushing Jaycees where Dan and Judi met many wonderful friends. This group played monthly euchre and spent summers camping together. Dan and Judi were also active in the VFW, assisting with the Friday Fish Fry.

Dan was an active and faithful member of St. Robert Catholic Church and was a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and was a former Grand Knight. His passion for the church was reignited when Judi was called home to the Lord in 2009.

Dan was a consummate character and his presence lit up every room. He was a shaker and a mover with great organizational skills. This was obvious in his successful business and all his early volunteer work. This all culminated into his appointment on Flushing City Council. He was proud to represent the community he loved so much.

Recently, Dan was instrumental in getting the Flushing Community Pool running and maintained. He truly wanted to create a place for families to come together. Dan spent Wednesday afternoons with his lunch buddies. They were able to just be guys together enjoying a meal and friendship.

Dan was most proud of his family. He is a former Flushing Raider Marching Band parent. He spent many weekends in the cold and rain hauling equipment. His love for his daughter was only surpassed by his love for his grandchildren. They were all the source of so much pride and love.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Theresa and husband James McEwen; grandchildren, Adam and Julia McEwen; sisters, Sharon and husband Steve Snyder, Janette and husband Terence O’Brien; brother, Stephen Fralick; several nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judi; parents; and brother, William Fralick.
