SMIRNOFF, Margo R. – Of Flint Township, age 74, died Monday, December 6, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
Per Margo’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service held.
Those desiring may make contributions to Devoted Barn or Genesee County Animal Shelter.
Margo was born in Cullman, Alabama on October 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Edwin and Doris (Moody) Hess.
She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School.
On October 18, 1969 she married Gerald “Jerry” Smirnoff at First Presbyterian Church in Flint.
She loved animals, camping, fishing, enjoyed playing softball, bowling and was an outstanding cook.
Margo was a Regional Manager at Lerner of New York.
Surviving are husband, Jerry;
son, Addam;
grandson, Nolan Avery, whom Margo cherished;
sister-in-law, Cheryl Brunske;
2 nieces, Lynette (Dave) Gillrie and Shawn Ballenger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin, Jr. and sister, Jan Thomas.
