BARTON, Illene – of Davison, MI, age 95, passed away on August 31, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Ann Anderson officiating. Burial will be immediately following service in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10:30 AM Thursday, September 8 until the time of service.
Illene was born in Flint, MI on December 10, 1926, daughter of the late Carl and Dollena (Stoke) Dolsen. She married Roy Barton on August 5,1946 in Flint, MI. Illene worked for General Motors for 41 years, retiring in 1986. She loved traveling and was a member of Ann’s Adventures Travel Network. Illene was a Detroit Tigers fan.
Illene is survived by daughter, Jeannette; 2 sons, Richard and Paul (Marsha), 2 grandsons, Adam and Nathan Barton; granddaughter, Jennifer Barton; great grandson, Tanner Bowen; great granddaughter, Hailey Bowen; sister, Annabelle Stone; brother, Duane Dolsen; special friend, Helen Burley; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dollena; husband, Roy; son, Daniel; sisters Ramona Houde and Judy Fletcher; brother, Carl Dolsen.
