McGrath-Nielsen, Tamra "Tami" Sue- Age 57, of Montrose, died Friday February 18, 2022. A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 26, from 1PM-5PM at Maple Grove Township Hall, 4017 Peet Road, New Lothrop, MI 48460. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Tamra was born September 9, 1964 in Flint, the daughter of Bruce and Sandra (Groendal) McGrath. She married Jerry Nielsen in Montrose on October 12, 1985. Tami worked for Montrose Veterinary Hospital for 20 years and currently worked for the Frankenmuth-Birch Run Veterinary Hospital for the past three years. She enjoyed reading, road trips, camping, her beloved pets and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving are: husband of 36 years, Jerry Nielsen of Montrose; children, Shain Nielsen of Montrose, Tasha (Adam) Clark of New Lothrop; grandchildren, Chevey McLeod, Allie Clark, Bryson Clark; mother, Sandra McGrath of Montrose; siblings, Terri (Joe) Lambert of Fruitport, Dave (Linda) McGrath of Cedar Springs, Maryanne (Jeff) Burkett of Montrose; mother-in-law, Enie Hecker sisters-in-law, Laurie (Nick) Summerlin of FL, Mary (Pat) Michael of Millington and many nieces and nephews.
