MATEJEWSKI, Patti Jean – Of Durand, age 68, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Private family service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Lisa Lahring officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Patti was born in Flint, Michigan on December 27, 1952, the daughter of Albert and Alice (Kitchen) Smith.
On July 19, 1984 she married John in Linwood, Michigan.
She was a member of Durand Free Methodist Church. She did lots of volunteer work for the City of Durand.
She enjoyed crafting and scrap booking.
Patti was secretary for LPN Nurses Association. She recently was a charge nurse for Argentine Care Center, and Administrator at Prestige Pointe in Grand Blanc.
Surviving are husband, John;
children, Teresa Matejewski of Traverse City,
Jeff and wife Kristy Deachin of Farmington Hills,
Greg and wife Sue Deachin of Lansing;
5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Cathy Cummings of Wolverine, MI, Candy and husband Russell Hubbard of Bancroft.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice Smith; brother, Jim and sister, Alma.
