SALYERS, Mary F. – Of Swartz Creek, age 75, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Renee Varner officiating. Burial to follow the service in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mary was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on September 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Elighe and Virginia (Jones) Salyers. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Mary loved playing Bingo, gambling and going to the casino. Most importantly, she had a passion for her family.
Surviving are daughter, Kimberly Vondrasek;
son, Greg Salyers;
grandchildren, Sheila (Mike) Waldrop,Michael (Shannon) Haight, David (Cheri) Haight, Gregory (Sarina) Salyers and Jeremy (Wendy) Salyers;
great-grandchildren, Jacob, Michael D., Michael A., Madalynn, Maribelle, Melanie, Lilly, Olivia, Willow, Scarlett, Sterling, Evangeline, Axel and Hope;
siblings, Patricia (John) Ostwald, Margie (Chuck) Welch, Regina (Ken) Beehler, Roger Orr, Jim Hendricks, Virginia Salyers;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sheila, Donnie, Virginia and Retha.
