BOGGS, Tracey Renee – Of Grand Blanc, age 69, died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ronald Wilson officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to David’s Faith & Hope Life Foundation.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 and 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the funeral home until the time of the service.
Tracey was born in Flint, Michigan on November 2, 1953, the daughter of James Edward Miller and Eunice Steen Anthony.
She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1971; graduated from Flint Junior College (Mott) with an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science.
On June 12, 1976 she married Gregory Thomas Boggs at Macedonia Missionary Baptist.
In July of 1978 she started work at General Motors-AC Spark Plug Division.
Gregory and Tracey bought their first home in Grand Blanc Township in October, 1979.
In January of 1982, Tracey gave birth to their only child, Gregory.
She was a member of Church Without Walls, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist.
Tracey loved to travel, go to concerts and being social with friends. She loved going to car shows with her mother and father and loved shopping.
Tracey especially loved being a grandmother to her 5 grandchildren.
She loved dancing with her dance club friends at the Hasselbring Senior Center.
She was a former member of the Red Hat Society.
Tracey also loved going to the movies and watching movies at home.
Tracey retired from General Motors/Delphi in August, 2006 in an early retirement program, with 28 years of service.
Surviving are son, Gregory (Maribeth) Boggs;
grandchildren, Mason, Carson, Dominic, Peyton and Caden;
mother, Eunice Williams;
aunt, Colleen Lyons;
cousins, Cassandra Burks, Carol Williams, Durell Williams, Phillip Miller, Anthony Miller and Diane Miller;
second cousin, Gregory Burks;
sister-in-law, Delores Boggs;
nieces, Donna Boggs and Trenetta Pitts;
nephew, Randy Boggs;
ex-husband, Gregory T. Boggs;
uncle, Albert Williams;
mother-in-law, Marry Armstrong;
special friends, Leslie Corbett, Michel Taylor, Barbie Billings, Desirae Carter and Josiah and Lawrencene Curry.
She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Miller; step-father, Duane Williams; brothers, Stanley and Terrence Miller; grandparents, Ben and Wilda Anthony; aunt, Betty Jean Williams; father-in-law, Henry Boggs and sister-in-law, Brenda Boggs.
