CULBERSON, Kayla – age 27 of Lapeer, MI passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 1PM-3PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3PM at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI. Kayla was born on February 22, 1990 in Bay City, MI to Ed and Celia (Ramirez) Culberson. She graduated from Mott Community College and also attended the University of Michigan – Flint. Kayla lived in Michigan all of her life. She loved animals, large and small. Kayla also loved reading throughout her life and she had a great passion for music. She played the tenor saxophone and was first chair in an orchestra, taking the lead for that instrument’s movements and playing solos. Both of her parents had a special place in her heart throughout her life. She is survived by her parents, Ed Culberson and Celia Culberson; step-mother, Susan Culberson; and step-sister, Rita. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Ramirez. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society in Kayla’s memory.
