David James O’Toole
Age 76 of Albee Township, formerly of Mount Morris, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 708 Sanderson Street, St. Charles, MI. Per David’s wishes, cremation will take place following the Mass.
The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes, Martin Chapel on Tuesday, February 1st from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be a time for sharing at 7:00pm with a Prayer Service and Rosary following at 7:30pm on Tuesday. Visitation will also be held 10:00am Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.
David was born in Flint, Michigan on August 4, 1945 the son of the late Raymond E. and Gabrielle G. (Hoornaert) O’Toole. He graduated Class of 1963 from St. Mary’s High School in Mount Morris. On January 13, 1978 he married Penny K. Ingram in Mount Morris. David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He retired from General Motors after working 33 years in Production and worked part-time at Gill-Roy’s in Clio for many years. David was also a volunteer Fireman for Mount Morris Township. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mount Morris for most of his life and then became a member at Mary of the Immaculate Conception after moving to the area. He loved spending his time hunting, fishing, and gardening. David also found joy in woodworking and making things for his family.
David leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Penny O’Toole; Children, Amber (Mike) Dudzik, Darnell (Mike) Piazza, Ian O’Toole, Katie O’Toole, Linsday (Mike) Ballor and David (Erica) O’Toole; Grandchildren, Jack and Brody Dudzik, Erin and James Piazza, Oliver, Ezekiel and Hudson Ballor and Joel O’Toole; Brothers, Theron (Cindy) O’Toole and Brian (Christhia) O’Toole and Sister, Michelle Lansing.
He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Gabrielle O’Toole, brother, Dennis O’Toole and daughter-in-law, Aki O’Toole.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Semper Fi Veteran’s Fund, Flint Hurley Children’s Hospital and the Eastside Soup Kitchen. |
